Presenting 1,404 books in a foreign language, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and seemingly a few other tongues as well.
Oh, I think a couple English texts slipped through into this massive library as well.
An Ibsen classic ... the stunning Hedda Gabler.
I'm sure you'd find it well worth looking through this list because, for one thing, there are many stories that we know in English with titles you will just recognise and yet look rather odd in the unusual collection of foreign words.
There are some great books here. What about Hedda Gabler, or Hamlet, Drama em cinco Actos, a Moliere farce - in his language for a change - and Proust or George Sand, even Voltaire's Candide?
It took quite a while of not the world's most interesting coding to compile this list. But to keep coming across famous collections with titles in such assorted languages turned the assignment from challenging to near enjoyment. It reminded me at the same time of one of the curses of being a Briton - to be so lacking in ability with other tongues.
These are all in the epub format. If you don't have a Sony eReader, it's easy to change the format. You download your favourites into the Calibre program. Calibre will let you load your eReader with the correct format. Calibre, like the books, is free. And it is dead easy to use.
