Every so often we readers come face to face with an incontrovertible truth: Holidays aren't long enough for people who care to read. Look at some of the titles in this history category and I think you must agree.

I'm so excited about this collection of more than 1,200 titles that I am uploading them here on eBookTrove-dot-com long before I can glance through even a half dozen of them.
Just look at some of these titles as I code them. There are some fantastic stories among them.
Here are some presidential words from December 1857: 'Deplorable, however, as may be our present financial condition, we may yet indulge in bright hopes for the future.

A touch of deja vu, perhaps?
This one interests me, too, Aeroplanes and Dirigibles of War, particularly as my father worked on Spitfires. Just taste that word dirigbles. Imagine trying to explain to a dirigible pilot that before long, the sky would be full of jets, and soon people would fly off for holidays thousands of miles away - and expect to be back a week later, and on time.
The world moves at a frantic rate, and some of the books here - histories, narratives, accounts - by humans long in their graves will take you into the most amazing scenes.
